English as a Second Language: Classes offer growth in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and technology in a sequence of levels, including beginning, intermediate and advanced.
High School Diploma: It’s never too late to earn your high school diploma! Individualized instruction offered in a friendly, supportive environment to help adults realize their lifelong objectives. Personalized instruction may include direct instruction, blended learning, and credit recovery. Offered in English or Spanish.
General Equivalency Diploma (GED): Review the four current subject areas (Language Arts, Science, Social Science, and Math) in a supportive environment with knowledgeable instructors. This is an alternative high school diploma equivalent for native Spanish speakers and for native English speakers.
Beginning Computer Course: This is an 10-week class beginning on Thursday, January 5, 2023. Students will create, send, and organize email as well as open and/or attach files to the email message. Netiquette, email etiquette, will be discussed. We will identify spam and junk email as well as how to delete and/or block it. Prerequisite: an existing Gmail account and ability to remember email address and password.
Intermediate Computer Course: This is an 10-week course beginning on Thursday, January 5, 2023. This is an introduction to Microsoft Word 2016. We will learn how to enter and format text and images, use spell check, change line spacing, and copy and paste. We will also download files from the internet,and save and print files. Prerequisite: Basic Computer Skills or experience using a touchpad or mouse. Students must sign a Technology Acceptable Use contract.
We also offer other courses, such as citizenship, culinary, family safety in the car.
