English as a Second Language (ESL)

 

ESL courses focus on knowledge and skills in English literacy and civics units such as Healthcare, Diversity, Banking, and Education. Classes offer growth in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and technology in a sequence of levels. Levels include Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced. ESL classes are offered in-person. We are pleased to announce that we are now offering ESL at three of our local elementary schools: Crumpton Elementary, Del Rey Woods Elementary, and Ord Terrace Elementary School.
 
If you would like to register for an online ESL course, please call the front office to be placed on a waiting list. 
 
A two night a week ESL class is also available at MAS. Please call the front office for more details.

Wednesday — 8:30 to 10:30 AM

EVENING: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday — 6:00 to 8:30 PM

Citizenship

This course prepares students to pass the oral and written exam for citizenship of the United States. This class is taught in English. Prerequisite: None. We are pleased to announce that we are offering this class at Ord Terrace Elementary School.
EVENING: Tuesday — 5:00 to 6:00 PM
