Beginning Computer: Internet Basics |
Internet Basics: This class meets in person. Class size is limited to 20 students. Register early! This is an 8-week course for beginners to learn how to use web browsers and search engines to naviage the World Wide Web. We will discuss best practices for online safety while surfing the web and submitting information.
Prerequisites: none
Northstar Digital Literacy Certification * is available for this class.* In order to earn a Northstar Digital Literacy Certification, students must pass the assessment with a score of 85% or higher. The student must present a valid photo ID on Northstar test days. $25 fee |

Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel |
Microsoft Excel: This is an introduction to spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel. Learners will enter data in cells, format cells, adjust, insert and delete rows, and columns, sort data, and create graphs or charts using data. We will perform calculations using formulas and functions, change page orientation and select a print area.
Class is limited to 20 students. New students will need to complete a Technology Use Agreement upon registering for the class.
Prerequisite: Microsoft Word or basic computer skills
