Through knowledgeable garden volunteers, master gardeners, and our partnership with Sustainable Seaside and the Resource Conservation District of Monterey County, the Monterey Adult School is offering gardening workshops to the community for FREE. Donations are welcome. Please call the front office (831-392-3536) to sign up for a garden workshop.

Herbal Wellness in the Garden

Saturday, May 2nd

10 AM - 12 PM

Description: Learn about plants that support everyday wellness - from the kitchen to handmade lotions to soothing herbal teas. We’ll focus on a small selection of essential herbs, exploring how to grow them in your own garden and use them as simple, practical tools for daily well-being.

Regenerative Soil Techniques

Saturday, May 9th

10 AM - 1 PM

Description: UC Master Gardeners of Monterey & Santa Cruz Counties invite our local community to join us to learn regenerative soil techniques that you can add to your gardening bag of tricks. Growing healthy soil helps the home gardener grow vibrant veggies and herbs, bountiful fruit trees and gorgeous flowers. We will summarize what makes a soil regenerative, and demonstrate proven techniques such as cover cropping, vermicompost, lasagna beds, and straw bale gardening.
