Please enjoy "A Dream of Global Unity" by Josue GonzalezA Dream of Global Unity
By Josue Gonzalez
Today, I stand before you not just as a citizen of my own country, but as a citizen of this great planet that we all share. I know that we look at the world and see borders, divisions, conflicts, and walls meant to separate us. But today, I refuse to believe that humanity is condemned to live in isolation. I refuse to believe that the fear of the other is stronger than our desire to connect.
I have a dream today, that the borders we draw on maps will one day cease to be barriers in the hearts of people. That we will understand, once and for all, that the blood running through our veins holds the same value, no matter the language we speak or the place where we were born.
I have a dream today, that the leaders of nations will not meet to compete for power
I have a dream today, that future generations will look back at the past and remember our era as the exact moment we chose to stop tearing each other down and start building together.
This is my hope. This is the faith with which I choose to walk into the future.
Let unity ring from every corner of the Earth
